‘Marketing genius’: Snoop Dogg ditching smoke ad turns into clever ad for smokeless fire pit
Los Angeles, California: Iconic rapper and cannabis enthusiast Snoop Dogg shocked his fans when he posted a video on his social media accounts saying he was “giving up the smoke”.
Many speculated whether he had decided to quit smoking, which was his trademark and part of his identity.

Snoop Dogg becomes the ‘smokesman’ of the solo stove
However, it now appears that the ad was actually a clever ad for a smokeless fire pit from Solo Stove, a company that makes outdoor products.

But as he “coughs and clothes all smell sticky, irritating,” he says, “I’m going smokeless,” as the camera pans to the firepit in front of him. “Brilliant,” he says with a laugh at the end of the video, praising the makers for “clearing the smoke.”

Snoop Dogg says ‘I love a good fire outside, but the smoke is too much’
In a statement via Solo Stove, Snoop said, “I love a good fire outside but the smoke is too much. The solo stove fixed the fire and blew out the smoke.
“They changed the game and now I’m excited to spread the love and be warm with my friends and family,” he said, according to PR News Wire.
The company announced that he is the official ‘smokesman’ for the Solo Stove. He will partner with the company on smokeless product innovation and collaborate on the design of a new signature line of Snoop Dogg x Solo stove products.
“We have such a good product that it even inspired Snoop to go smokeless,” says John Merris, CEO of Solo Brands.
The collaboration’s first product is a limited edition bundle that includes a Snoop-designed Bonfire fire pit, a fire pit stand, a Snoop bucket hat, and a Snoop x Solo sticker pack.

Fans were quick to note that Snoop Dogg never said he was going to quit smoking, just “smoke.”
They appreciate his marketing genius and his sense of humor. “And that’s why I quietly minded my business,” one user commented on Instagram. “Genius Marketing. Well done,” wrote another.
